MVH ID: Unnati’s HusbandSincerely,Ravickumar M, your fellow MVH Postcards of secretsFrom the Scobeliser blog, here is a gem that i think is very creative and artistically done: At a discussion at MVP regional summitThanks to Ravickumar who supplied this photo.. here i can be seen working Put the glass downOnce a professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it. He held it up for all to see and asked the students, "How much do you think this glass weighs? "50gms?"...."100gms?"......"125gms"...... the students answered. "I really don't know unless I weigh it," said the professor, but, my question is: "What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?" "Nothing" - the students said. "OK, what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?" - the professor asked. "Your arm would begin to ache" - said one of the students. "You're right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?" "Your arm could go numb" "you might have severe muscle stress & paralysis...have to go to hospital for sure!" - ventured another student ; all the students laughed. "Very good. But during all this, did the weight of the glass change?" - asked the professor. "No" - replied the students "Then what caused the arm ache; the muscle stress?" Instead what should I do? The students were puzzled. "Put the glass down" - said one of the students. "Exactly!" said the professor Life's problems are something like this. Hold it for a few minutes in your head; they seem OK. Think of them for a long time; they begin to ache. Hold it even longer; they begin to paralyze you. You will not be able to do anything. It's important to think of the challenges (problems) in your life, but EVEN MORE IMPORTANT to 'put them down' at the end of every day before you go to sleep. That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh; strong ; can handle any issue, any challenge that comes your way! Bangalore One Project : FACT FROM FICTIONRead a letter from a Linux proponent on Bangalore One Project and have tried to correct the facts misrepresented on the post at: http://abhishekkant.blogspot.com/2004/12/bangalore-one-project-fact-from.html Rules of Conversation for GirlFriends!Over the weekend, the 3 cardinal rules of conversation with Girlfriends / Wives dawned on me. I am obligated to share the same:
Community Presentation Made at MDC India 2004We made a 90 min presentation on avenues of community participation for attendees of the MDC India 2004. The session was held as a part of Track 3 on Day 2. For the people who missed the session, the presentation will be available shortly on the MDC India 2004 site alongwith other presentations and hands on lab manual. Here is a picture of mine taking the session. Sneak Peek into MDC India 2004MDC India 2004 was unique in the way it was executed and conceived. From the strong presence of the partners to the “fun” event at the end of the MDC (called the Developer Idol), Mobile Developer Conference brought the whole ecosystem together. The most interesting thing for me was the presence of a “Business” track apart from the technical tracks. We as community were present there at the community booth and at first session on Dec 10 on Community activities. Also, an exclusive roundtable was arranged for the MVPs, Community Stars and INETA volunteers post the sessions on second day. Some captured moments from the MDC: How to add a blog entry on MSN Spaces using EmailFigured with the launch of MSN Spaces you should have a way of blogging via email as well. Blogging via email has 3 immediate uses: 1. If your corporate environment doesn't let you access the internet. however, you can send email outside the organisation. 2. Sometimes Internet connectivity is just too bad / slow that you would prefer to write an email. 3. Email is something that you can work on intermittently. Write a bit, save the email and then come back to finish it later. So what does it take to blog using Email on MSN Spaces? Well just a little configuration... here is what you do: 1. Sign into your spaces using passport credentials 2. Click on the “Settings” text at the top right corner, below the “Sign Out” button 3. Click on the “Mobile Settings” tab text 4. Check “Turn on Mobile Publishing” box 5. Make sure that the email ID you are going to use to send the blog entries is correctly mentioned in the textbox below. Well I confirmed that any other post sent from unspecified email ID doesn't make it to the blog. 6. Provide the secret word. This prevents others from adding blog entries even if they have access to your email account. 7. The next choice let’s you decide whether you want the entries you mail to appear instantly or you want them to be kept as draft till it is manually approved by you. If you want the post instantly once mailed choose the “Publish entries immediately. ” choice button. 8. You can see the email address where you should send your entries to. 9. Compose an email and send it to the email known from the Step 8. If you had pictures attached with the email they will also appear on the blog! Even the formatting (bold, italics etc) is maintained in the post. And yes this entry is made via E-Mail J First Attempt to publish a blog via EmailSending this from email.. Will this make it to the MSN Spaces? B.NET Design Day - First PeekWas at the Bangalore User Group's Design Day today and oh boy.. it was such a BIG success.. with around 200 participants in the Conf room at the GTSC Office the interest was sustained till the last minute of the 4:30 hr long session.. are people MORE interested in architecture and design of the software than the coding itself? Here is a first preview of the session in progress.. do you see the people sitting on the floor and perched up on the windows with intense concentration on their faces?? मेरा पहला हिंदी वाक्यहिंदी कुंजीपटल द्रारा निर्मित । |
